Infrastructure Development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) in South China is one of the most rapidly development areas in China. As the live-line of GBA, its infrastructure has been built up very fast in last 30 years. This lecture will introduce the spatial relationship of major infrastructure and the urbanization of GBA.

Dr. Hui Lin, Academician of International Eurasia Academy of Sciences and Fellow of British Academy of Social Science, is Professor and Dean at the School of Geography and Environment at Jiangxi Normal University, China and Director of Key Lab of Poyang Lake Wetland and Watershed Research, Ministry of Education of China. He was the founding director of Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lin has been working in the fields of Earth Observation, GIS and virtual geographic environments (VGE) since 1980s, as a leading geoinformation scientist in China. He was PI for more than 40 research projects in last 30 years, and he is the China side PI for Sino-EU joint satellite remote sensing program “Dragon Program” (2010 to date). He is the winner of Outstanding Contribution Award of Asia Association of Remote Sensing (2009 and 2019), AAG Miller Award (2017). Currently Dr. Lin serves as Vice Chairman, China National Committee of International Society of Digital Earth. (2012 to date) and Chief Scientist of Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group (2019 to date).
